THE DATES - Sunday 14 September to Friday 19 September 2008
THE THEME - "STRENGTHENED TO SERVE: A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO GLOBAL HEALTH NEEDS"

THE VENUE - Hill Station Hotel, JOS, Plateau State, NIGERIA
CONFERENCE FEE - US Dollars 350:00 per person.
LOCATION DETAILS - Jos, which can trace its origins back to AD500, is located in central Nigeria on a plateau about 1250m above sea level. The early Christian missionaries gave it its name as an acronym for "Jesus our Saviour".
The town is just over 300 km from the Federal Capital, Abuja and was developed in the early part of the 20th Century, by the British, as a tin mining centre but also as a rest centre for the former colonial administrators. The higher altitude gives a cooler and more comfortable climate. This climate is also good for growing produce such as watermelons and lettuce.
Delegates will be met at Abuja airport by members of FCN Nigeria and driven to the Hill Station Hotel in Jos. The hotel, as the name befits, was originally developed as a rest station for the British colonial staff for the good of their health. It has expanded over recent years and now has over 150 rooms and incorporates a large conference centre, which will be the venue. The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday evening, 14th September, with conference sessions starting on Monday morning, 15th September, through to the 50th Anniversary celebration and conference closing on Thursday evening, 18th September 2008
Please check with your appropriate government agencies regarding health and visa requirements.
